Cloverdale Paint was founded in 1933 and is the largest privately owned paint manufacturer in Canada. Cloverdale serves the Canadian DIY, Professional Painting Contractor, Industrial coatings, and Wood Finishes markets in the four western provinces through 55 company owned distribution branches and a network of over 100 authorized dealers. In the United States, Cloverdale reaches a similar customer base through Rodda Paint Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary, with over 60 branches and authorized dealers throughout the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California and Alaska.
In addition to its major manufacturing plant and headquarters located in Surrey, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver, manufacturing divisions include: Rodda Paint Company in Portland, Oregon and Guertin Bros. Polymers Ltd in Winnipeg, Manitoba where polymers, resins, powder coatings and other industrial products are produced. Research and development activities for both architectural and industrial coatings are carried out through laboratories at these manufacturing facilities.
Owned by the Vogel family since 1948, the company remains a family business headed by W.M. (Wink) Vogel, Chairman with other family members in management positions. The management teams at the various companies are lead by Al Mordy, President & CEO and Alex Drody, Executive Vice President & COO.
